A Variety of Materials to Choose From
There is a wide-range of garden room styles to suit your every need. You have the more natural and classic look, which may be a building finished with Western Red Cedar cladding. This is an excellent options known for its rich colour and impressive durability. Cedar is a popular high-end material balancing minimal maintenance with optimal aesthetic.
For those who prefer a more modern and minimalist look, why not consider a render finish or composite cladding. Both offer an elegant stylised finish and can also be customised even further. Choose from additional textures or colours as you see fit. Choosing the Right Materials for your Surrey Garden Room
Building a garden room in the UK needs to be an all-weather structure. With this in mind and to ensure the best performance, choosing the highest-grade materials is vitally important. We ensure we use materials which guarantee durability, thermal efficiency and minimal maintenance.
Unlike a simple shed, garden studios and rooms need a robust structure and should be fully insulated. Let's be honest, you'll want it to have low running costs and be comfortable. With this in mind all our garden rooms are double-insulated throughout the floor, walls and roof, achieving a high EPC rating of 73C.
For the exterior cladding, there are two options. The first is a real timber cladding for a natural, bespoke look. There is a wide range of durable woods to choose from including Oak, Larch, Cedar or Lunawood. All these timbers are beautiful and responsibly sourced.
Alternatively, you could choose composite wood cladding. This is your ultimate low-maintenance option which uses advanced composite wood materials that are FSC certified as well as eco-friendly. This is the perfect solution to recreating the textured look and feel of real wood, but without the need for regular treating or oiling.
